New York Times bestselling authors Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark’s Christmas novel, Dashing Through the Snow is now available for only $14.99!

In the charming village of Branscombe, New Hampshire, the townsfolk are all pitching in to prepare for the first (and many hope annual) Festival of Joy. The night before the festival begins, a group of employees at the local market learn that they have won $160 million in the lottery. One of their co-workers, Duncan, decided at the last minute, on the advice of a pair of crooks masquerading as financial advisers, not to play. Then he goes missing. A second winning lottery ticket was purchased in the next town, but the winner hasn’t come forward. Could Duncan have secretly bought it?

The Clarks’ endearing heroes—amateur sleuth Alvirah Meehan and private investigator Regan Reilly—have arrived in Branscombe for the festival. They are just the people to find out what is amiss. As they dig beneath the surface, they find that life in Branscombe is not as tranquil as it appears. So much for an old-fashioned weekend in the country. Filled with suspense and humor, Dashing Through the Snow is a heartwarming thriller, that rates “a cheerful ho, ho, ho” (Publishers Weekly).

Q. how did you come to write Dashing Through the Snow?

A. My mother and I decided to write another Christmas book and had always been intrigued by the stories of co-workers who win the lottery together. So we decided to center the book around a group of friends who work at a market and win the lottery -- right after they were denied their holiday bonus! They want to share the pot with a co-worker who didn't throw in his dollar, but he's missing. Now that the book is out I heard from a reader who sent me a story about a group of lottery winners who are being sued by four fellow co-workers who said that they should share in the money. In our book, the drawing was December 11th. This particular group won on December 12th. As I said, we were always interested in the dynamics of groups who win the lottery together! It will be interesting to see how this real life lottery drama plays out.
